The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:

• DAVID FRANCO, 30, of 1602 Virginia, was arrested Saturday on a local warrant and charge of public intoxication and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

• BRYAN STETSON, 36, of 109 E. 16th Street Apt. B, was arrested Saturday on a charge of assault causing bodily injury – family violence.

• COREY HOFFPAUIR, 32, of 1308 Sheppard, was arrested Sunday on a charge of theft.

• JOSEPH LEFTRIDGE, 20, of Dallas, was arrested Sunday on charges of driving while license invalid and minor in possession of alcohol beverage.

• KRISTINA ESCAMILLA, 25, of 820 W. Eighth Street, was arrested Sunday on a charge of failure to maintain financial responsibility.

• THEFT was reported:

in the 300 block of Owens.

in the 2000 block of Gregg Street.

in the 1800 block of Gregg Street.

in the 1700 block of FM 700.

• POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL BY A MINOR was reported in the 200 block of FM 700.

• ASSAULT BY CONTACT was reported:

in the 1900 block of Highway 87.

near W. Seventh Street.

• AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AGAINST A SECURITY OFFICER was reported in the 2900 block of Old Highway 80.

• UNLAWFULLY CARRYING A WEAPON was reported in the 1500 block of Virginia.

• UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE was reported near W. Seventh Street.

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – TWO OUNCES OR LESS was reported in the 200 block of Third Street.

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 100 block of 18th Street.

• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1200 block of Ridgeroad.


The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:

Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 53 inmates at the time of this report.

• ANNA ALICIA ROBLES, 24, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on a charge of issuance of a bad check.

• JACOB DANIEL PETROWSKI, 19, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

• JOSE DAVID RIVAS, 44, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for driving while intoxicated.

• ELIAS LEDESMA, 22, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

• THEODORE ESCAVADO RIOS JR., 17, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of criminal mischief – more than $500, less than $1,500.

• RAYMOND IGLESIA ALVEAR, 30, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

• DONNI KAY ROBERTSON, 23, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a motion to revoke probation for theft.

• PAUL VIERA JR., 21, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of aggravated robbery.

• BRENNA LEDAE HILL, 17, was arrested Saturday by DPS on charges of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and minor in consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

• JUSTIN KYLE DAHMER, 20, was arrested Saturday by DPS on a charge of driving under the influence by a minor.

• DAVID CHRISTOPHER PETREE, 24, was transferred to the county jail Saturday by the BSPD on a charge of making a terroristic threat.

• ELGIN NILES MORENO, 20, was transferred to the county jail Saturday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.

• EUGENE SCOTT, 59, was transferred to the county jail Saturday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

• ROCKY R. YANEZ, 26, was transferred to the county jail Saturday by the BSPD on charges of driving while intoxicated – open container, driving while license invalid – DWI related and enhanced, and possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

• JOHN JAY FLORES, 37, was transferred to the county jail Saturday by the BSPD on a charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

• RONALD TERRY PARHAM, 47, was arrested Saturday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence.

• ERNEST GARCIA JR., 36, was arrested Saturday by the HCSO on charges of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less in a drug free zone, possession of a dangerous drug, resisting arrest, search or transportation and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

• JONATHAN SILLOY DOUGLAS, 27, was arrested Sunday by the HCSO on charges of assault – family violence, no driver's license, no liability insurance, allowing a child between the ages of 2 and 17 years to ride unsecured and speeding – 60 MPH in a 40 MPH zone.

• COLBY JAMAR FORD, 26, was arrested Sunday by the HCSO on a charge of bondsman off bond for theft by check and a local bench warrant.

• LOUIS VELA, 48, was arrested Monday by DPS on charges of driving while intoxicated – open container, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.


The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:

• TRAUMA was reported in the area of Hollings Road. One person was transported to SMMC.

• TRAUMA was reported in the 400 block of E. 16th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of Westover Road. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of Veterans Blvd. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 2600 block of Langley. Service refused.

• TRAUMA was reported in the 1900 block of Scurry. Service refused.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.

• TRAUMA was reported in the 200 block of Jefferson. One person was transported to SMMC.

• TRAUMA was reported in the 2900 block of Old Highway 80. Service refused.
