The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• DEREK SCOTT PIERCE, 20, of 102 W. 13th St., was arrested Monday on charges of theft and failure to appear.
• JESUSITA MICHELLE ZAPATA, 32, of 701 Creighton, was arrested Monday on charges of expired driver's license, failure to maintain financial responsibility, operating a motor vehicle with the wrong registration and displaying a fictitious or counterfeit inspection certificate.
• UNATTENDED DEATH was reported in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
• THEFT was reported:
in the 3700 block of Hamilton.
in the 2000 block of Gregg Street.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 100 block of Canyon.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1900 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 46 inmates at the time of this report.
• THOMAS RAY CAMARILLO, 35, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of public intoxication.
• RONNIE DEAN BROWN, 47, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of public intoxication.
• ANDREW JUAREZ JR., 19, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of theft.
• JEFFREY PAUL CARTER, 45, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for driving while intoxicated – third or more offense.
• BILLIE JEAN JAMES, 45, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for possession of a controlled substance.
• CECILIO PENA, 25, was arrested Monday by DPS on charges of displaying a fictitious or counterfeit inspection/insurance document, displaying an expired registration, failure to maintain insurance, driving while license invalid and a child passenger not secured by safety belt.
• SHELITA JEAN DUPRE, 39, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of fraudulent possession of a controlled substance prescription schedule.
The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAUMA was reported in the 3100 block of S. Highway 87. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 100 block of Airbase Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2600 block of Ent. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3600 block of Connally. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Mt. Vernon. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1900 block of Simler. One person was transported to SMMC.
