The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:

• ROBERT AIKENS, 45, of 1715 E. Highway 350, was arrested Saturday on a charge of solicitation by a pedestrian.

• BRANDON ROY, 25, of Arizona, was arrested Saturday on a charge of disorderly conduct.

• ALONZO VELASCO, 57, of Ackerly, was arrested Sunday on a local warrant and a charge of public intoxication.

• BRENDA RAMON, 24, of 509 E. 18th St., was arrested Sunday on a charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

• ANTONIO GONZALES, 20, of 404 vN. Fifth St. in Coahoma, was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

• PORTIA FRAME, 19, of 1313 Mulberry, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and possession of a controlled substance.

• JOSEPH TOUDOUZE, 21, of 3405 E. Highway 350, was arrested Sunday on three local warrants.

• UNLAWFULLY CARRYING A WEAPON, was reported in the 1800 block of Owens.

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – TWO OUNCES OR LESS was reported in the 2700 block of Wasson.

• POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE was reported in the 2700 block of Wasson.

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:

in the 2600 block of Hunter.

in the 1200 block of Madison.

• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported in the 1300 block of Tucson.

• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 100 block of Courtney.

• BURGLARY OF A COIN OPERATED MACHINE was reported in the 1700 block of Third Street.

• ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY was reported in the 400 block of FM 700.


The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:

Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 56 inmates at the time of this report.

• DAVID L. PETERSON, 33, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of violation of parole.

• SANDRA SHAEFFER, 25, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

• ERNENIA CHAVERA, 47, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of criminal mischief – impairing public communication/supply.

• SABRINA GUTIERREZ PEREZ, 33, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on charges of bondsman off bond for burglary of a building and bondsman off bond for evading arrest or detention.

• JENNIFER VELASQUEZ, 34, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on a charge of violation of parole for grand theft and criminal mischief.

• LARRY MARTINEZ JR., 25, was arrested Friday by DPS on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

• MAXIMO HERNANDEZ, 46, was arrested Saturday by DPS on a charge of no driver's license.

• AARON EDWARD HENDERSON, 47, was arrested Saturday by DPS on charges of no driver's license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

• JONATHON ANDREW WRIGHT, 22, was arrested Saturday by DPS on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

• JOHN C. HILARIO, 31, was arrested Saturday by DPS on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

• ELIAZAR YBARRA, 45, was arrested Saturday by the HCSO on a charge of violation of parole.

• RENE O. VILLA, 37, was transferred to the county jail Sunday by the BSPD on charges of harassment and interference with an emergency phone call.

• BRENDA SUE RAMON, 24, was transferred to the county jail Sunday by the BSPD on a charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

• JOSHUA JOE GARZA, 21, was arrested Sunday by DPS on charges of no driver's license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

• ALVIN JOHN GILLION, 21, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of burglary.

• ANTHONY THOMAS MCGRUDER, 38, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.


The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of Highway 350. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 2100 block of Monticello. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICal was reported in the area of S. Fifth Street in Coahoma. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of Lancaster. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Nolan. Service refused.

• TRAUMA was reported in the 100 block of Wasson. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of W. Third Street. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 400 block of W. Interstate Highway 20. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of Birdwell Lane. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1000 block of N. Main Street. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Utah. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of W. Third Street. One person was transported to SMMC.

• GRASS FIRE was reported in the area of Broughton Road.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
