The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• PAULA LEOS, 27, of 1803 S. Owens, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana. • JOSE MENDEZ CUELLAR, 46, of 3000 Old Highway 80, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana. • OSCAR HERNANDEZ, 42, of 1405 S. Benton, was arrested Monday on four local warrants. • THEFT was reported in the 1700 block of FM 700. • INJURY TO A CHILD was reported in the 2600 block of Fairchild. • EVADING ARREST/DETENTION WITH A VEHICLE was reported in the 400 block of Gregg Street. • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported: in the 700 block of 12th Street. in the 700 block of 14th Street. • BURGLARY OF A BUILDING was reported in the 2600 block of Gregg Street. The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity: Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 54 inmates at the time of this report. • TRAVIS SORRELLS, 20, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. • JAMES LYNN PARKER, 28, was arrested Monday on a judgment/sentence for possession of a controlled substance. • LANCE WAYNE BIDDLE LAND, 19, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of theft. • JOHN DEE ROMAN, 39, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication. The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity: • MEDICAL was reported near the intersection of Interstate Highway 20 and Tubb Road. Service refused. • MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street. One person was transported to SMMC. • TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported in the 1500 block of S. Gregg Street. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of W. Marcy. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 2300 block of Wasson. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of Hamilton. One person was transported to SMMC.
