By STEVE REAGAN Staff Writer GAIL — Borden County High School officials have announced the top graduates for the Class of 2009.
 Froman Anna “Katherine” Froman, daughter of Ken and Layne Froman of Gail, is class valedictorian She is a member of the National Beta Club and is a Distinguished Achievement graduate. In addition, she was senior class president and chosen “most likely to succeed” by her classmates. In University Interscholastic League academic competition, she was a state qualifier in Spelling and Vocabulary the past three years. She also participated in Ready Writing, Prose Interpretation and One-Act Play. In athletics, she participated in cheerleading, basketball, softball and track and field. Froman plans to attend Midland College in the fall with a major in pre-medicine.  Hobson Krysltle Renee Hobson, daughter of Danny and Renee Hobson of Gail, is class salutatorian. She is vice president of the senior class and was named “Miss BCHS” and “Most Beautiful” by the student body. In UIL academics, she participated in Cross-Examination Debate and One-Act Play. In athletics, she was active in cheerleading, tennis, softball, cross country, track and field and basketball, in which she was named Academic All-State her final two years in school. Hobson plans to attend South Plains College in the fall and major in nursing. BCHS will hold commencement exercises at 7 p.m. Friday in the high school auditorium.
