Big Spring's Comanche Trail Park Municipal Swimming Pool may be closed this summer but that doesn't mean there's no place to swim.
In addition to the YMCA facility, the Forsan Pool is open and welcoming residents from other communities. The pool is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and, yes, that includes the July 4 holiday. Cost is $1 for Forsan and Elbow Elementary children and $2 for everyone else. Lifeguards are on duty at all times. Forsan Pool is located at Forsan High School in the Forsan Community, south of Big Spring off U.S. Highway 87. For more information or directions, call 457-9123.
