The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• VITO GARCIA, 29, of 1605 Cardinal, was arrested Monday on a Lynn County warrant. • MARCUS JOE ANDERSON, 28, of 1605 E. Sixth St., was arrested Monday on six local warrants. • HOLSTON BANKS III, 17, of 1609 Canary, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana. • CHRISTOPHER GUTIERREZ, 22, of 1600 E. Fifth St., was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana. • RANDY JAY YBARRA, 22, of 1504 E. Fifth St., was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana. • MATTHEW YBARRA, 18, of 1600 E. Fifth St., was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana. • ROBERT RUBEN SANCHEZ, 45, of 423 Westover Rd., was arrested Monday on a charge of public intoxication. • ALEXANDER BURCIAGA, 19, of 1309 Bell, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. • JAMES BURLIN WILLIAMS, 23, of 800 S. Nolan, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. • RICARDO CASTILLO, 30, of 801 E. 14th St., was arrested Monday on a Tom Green County warrant. • JESSIE REYES, 22, of 107 N.E. Ninth St., was arrested Monday on a Howard County Justice of the Peace warrant. • THEFT was reported in the 900 block of Willia. • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – TWO OUNCES OR LESS was reported: in the 2000 block of FM 700. in the 1600 block of Fourth Street. • FRAUDULENT USE/POSSESSION OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION was reported in the 1700 block of Scurry. • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 600 block of 23rd Street. • ASSAULT BY THREATS was reported in the 800 block of 14th Street. • ASSAULT BY CONTACT was reported in the 1900 block of Highway 87.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity: Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 77 inmates at the time of this report. • MARCUS ANDERSON, 28, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of littering, driving while license invalid and no driver's license. • ANTONIO CORREA ARISPE, 66, was arrested Monday by TABC on a charge of selling alcoholic beverages during prohibited hours. • HOLSTON BANKS, 17, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less. • ALEXANDER BURCIAGA, 19, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. • RONNIE GENE BUSSEY, 65, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication. • FRANK SOTO CASTILLO, 46, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of assault Class C (intimidation). • RICARDO CASTILLO, 30, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a local warrant. • VITO GARCIA, 29, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a motion to revoke probation. • EDITA GREEN, 55, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a motion to revoke probation. • CHRISTOPHER GUTIERREZ, 22, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana. • JAVIER PAYEN, 39, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of violation of a protective order. • JESSE TONY REYES JR., 22, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of open container, speeding and a local warrant. • ROBERT SANCHEZ, 45, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication. • JAMES BURLIN WILLIAMS, 23, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. • JOSHUA YBARRA, 19, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. • MATTHEW YBARRA, 18, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana. • RANDY YBARRA, 22, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana.
The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity: • MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of 18th Street. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of W. Marcy. One person was transported to SMMC. • TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported in the 2000 block of Gregg Street. Service refused. • MEDICAL was reported in the 2300 block of S. Gregg Street. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 800 block of E. 18th Street.
