Smith & Howard to marry in Jamaica this month

Alayna Gayle Smith and Jarod Nolan Howard are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding on Feb. 20, 2010, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at the Sandal’s Resort.

Alayna is the daughter of John Smith of Stanton and Bill and Debbie Rutter of Midland. She is also the granddaughter of Charlie and Betty Smith and the late Lou Smith of Stanton, as well as Jeff and Michaeleen Glendening of Tarzan.

Alayna is a 2004 graduate of Stanton High School and a 2008 graduate of Midland College with a degree in cosmetology. She is currently attending Texas Tech University where she is pursuing her degree in business. She is a hair stylist at Barry Morris Salon in Midland.

Nolan is the son of Danny and Nan Howard of Greenwood. He is also the grandson of Bobby and Peggy Howard of Greenwood, as well as Kenneth and Bobbie White of Vernon.

Nolan is a 2002 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2007 graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in agriculture and applied economics. He is currently employed with Endeavor Energy Resources in Midland and is the owner of JNH Farms.

The couple will reside in Martin County.
