“The conditions in Texas are epic. I can't believe I've never flown in Texas before,” glider pilot B.J. Herring said in an airport terminal conference room at Macmahon-Wrinkle Airpark. Herring is one of about 50 hang gliding enthusiasts who have gathered for the Big Spring International competition that began Saturday.
