Vivian Griffith, 89, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born July 26, 1923, in Comstock, Texas, and married Jay Maurice Griffith on Jan. 1, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death Feb. 8, 2011
Mrs. Griffith had worked at Webb Air Force Base. She was a member of 11th and Birdwell Lane Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son, Wayne Griffith of Austin; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
