Walter 'Tommy' Ledbetter

Walter "Tommy" Ledbetter, 86, of Buchanan Dam, formerly of Stanon, died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in an Austin hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Stanton with the Rev. David Harp officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the funeral home.
Tommy was born June 26, 1926 in Scranton, Texas, and served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Rosewood in World War II.
He is survived by his son, Rodney Ledbetter and wife Vicki; two granddaughters; three great grandsons; a brother, Lloyd Ledbetter; a sister, Retta Rosaland; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ann; one son, Bradford Ledbetter; his parents, Thomas and Eula Mae Ledbetter; his brothers, Alton, James and Clifton; and his sister, Jerry.
