William A. Belew

William A. Belew, 71, of Lamesa, died Tuesday, Oct.8, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Stan Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Ackerly Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at the funeral home.
Bill was born May 24, 1942, in Scranton, Texas, and married Martha Smith Jan. 24, 1969, in Lamesa. She preceded him in death Oct. 14, 2003.

Bill has been in the water well business for more than 35 years. He loved to fish. He also enjoyed hunting and camping, but mostly loved to fish.

Survivors include his son, Ron Belew of Big Spring; his daughter, Leslea Robinson and husband Lance of Ackerly; two granddaughters, Haylea Dooley and husband Chad, and Faith Belew; one grandson, Sloan Robinson; one brother, Richard Belew and wife Virginia of Big Spring; and his sister-in-law, Alice Howard of Lamesa.

In addition to his wife, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Everette "Pete" and Agnes (Rhyne) Belew; and one sister, Betty McGee.
