William Howard 'Willie' Martin

William Howard "Willie" Martin, 69, of Cleburne, formerly of Big Spring, died Friday Feb. 21, 2014. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Tom Forbes officiating.

He was born Nov. 30, 1944, to Guadalupe and George Henry Martin Sr. in Poteet, Texas. He worked in the oilfield and lived in Howard County for a number of years, living in Ackerly and Big Spring.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Martin of Big Spring; two sons, William Howard Martin Jr. of Lamesa and Craig Martin of Lubbock; one daughter, Cristina Beth Olvero of Lamesa; one sister, Mary Pfaffenberger of Lamesa; one brother, Phillip Martin of Dickens, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters. Sue Hankins and Annie Alaniz; and one brother, George Henry Martin, Jr.
