William N. 'Bill' Currie

William N. "Bill" Currie, 57, of Big Spring died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born May 16, 1954, in Big Spring, Texas.

Bill graduated from Big Spring High School and then attended Howard College. He was a fourth generation rancher on the Currie Ranch in Glasscock County. Bill and his brother Jerry John Currie raised Angus cattle and award-winning show calves.

He was a Methodist.

Survivors include one niece, Natalie Nichols Stroup; and one nephew, William Jon Currie; aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by by his father, Jerry Currie; his mother, Mae Currie; one brother, Jerry Jon Currie; and one sister, Diana Currie Nichols.
