Win over Rangers give Steers playoff bid

February 5, 2014

Big Spring head coach Ian Ritchey took a deep breath after watching his team grind out a 56-49 victory over the Midland Greenwood Rangers on Tuesday night in front of a huge crowd in the Steer Gym and took it for what it was. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but it was win.
It was a huge win that gave Big Spring its ultimate goal - a berth in the Class 3A state playoffs.
