Yvette (Scudday) Jiles

Yvette (Scudday) Jiles, 70, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away Feb. 6, 2012. She was born Feb. 27, 1941, in Seagraves, Texas, to the late Marshall Vernon and Virginia Jane (Craig) Scudday.

Yvette grew up on Possum Kingdom Lake, working at her family’s fishing camp, Possum Hollow Camp. She had a love for education and children. Yvette taught for 32 years, spending the majority of those years at Coahoma Elementary School. During that time, she returned to school and received a masters in education.

Yvette was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, and she will be greatly missed.

Yvette is survived by her son, Jason Craig Jiles of New Orleans, La.; daughter, Nikki (Jiles) Johnke of Cedar Park, Texas; daughter-in-law, Anita Jiles; grandchildren, Kelsey Jiles, Devin Jiles and Haleigh Johnke; brother, Michael Scudday and Jan Pletcher of Dallas, Texas; niece, Kathryn Scudday; and nephew, Marshall Scudday.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas.
