FORT WORTH — Yvonne Bohannon Ivie, 87, a Christian, departed this life Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Graveside Service: The family will honor and celebrate Yvonne's life at a private graveside service Tuesday, June 4.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Scleroderma Foundation (www.scleroderma.org or 300 Rosewood Dr. Ste 105, Danvers, MA)
Yvonne was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Dallas to Oral and Nanny Bohannon. She grew up in Arlington and graduated with the proud AHS class of 1943. She married Owen H. Ivie Jan. 6, 1945. A loving wife and mother, she also joyfully served others in her church and community in numerous ways. She resided in Big Spring for many years, later moving to Granbury and then Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: Yvonne is survived by Owen, her husband of 68 years and loving father of their three daughters: Susan Watts and husband Richard of Pipe Creek, Sandy Massey and husband Bob of Joshua and Nancy Stringfellow and husband David of Burke, Va.; six grandchildren: Greg Massey and wife Rebecca of Keller, Kerry Ariail and husband Jammie of Keller, Peter Watts and wife Melissa of San Antonio, Ann Stringfellow of Burke, Va., Kimberly Morgan and husband Dorian of Fort Worth and John Stringfellow and wife Jennifer of Kailua, Hawaii; cherished great-grandchildren: Aaron, Isaac, Daniel, Calvin, Eliana, Zamira, Rowan, Autumn, Bethany, Tommy, Jude, Jefferson and Jackson; sister, Beverly Reynolds and husband James of Arlington; brother, David Bohannon and wife Sue of Lampassas; sister, Elizabeth Ohme of Arlington; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
