Chamber's annual toy drive has begun

Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce officials have begun accepting toys for its annual Christmas Toy Drive which benefits three local organizations in their efforts to distribute toys to area children who many not receive a gift on Christmas day.
The chamber will be accepting new, unwrapped gifts for children ages two to 18 through Dec. 9. Toys can be brought to the Chamber office during business hours Monday through Friday at 215 W. Third St. Monetary donations will also be accepted and used to purchase toys for the drive.
“It’s for all ages,” explained Debbye ValVerde, Big Spring Chamber executive director. “Do remember that Salvation Army does have an age limit so some of these siblings with older brothers and sisters, the older kids don’t get a gift. We would love for people to keep that in mind and purchase gifts for some of these teenagers.”
For more information about the toy drive, contact the Chamber at 432-263-7641.
