Grand jury indicts man for murder

A Big Spring man was indicted for murder, a first-degree felony, by the Howard County Grand Jury this week.
Pablo Saucedo-Estrada, 21, faced the grand jury on Wednesday after he was arrested on a charge of the shooting and killing of Victor Saucedo, 41, at a local residence.
According to a Big Spring Police Department press release, officers were dispatched to 1603 Sycamore in reference to a disturbance.
“Upon arrival, officers found a male subject being held down on the ground in the front yard of the residence and a subject in the living room of the home deceased from gunshot wounds to the head,” stated the BSPD press release.
According to the press release, Saucedo-Estrada was attempting to leave the scene when two other individuals stopped and detained him. The victim, Victor Saucedo, who was said not to be related to the suspect, was pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace Connie Shaw.
