The Life Center of Big Spring hosted a benefit lunch in the Grand Ballroom at Hotel Settles Tuesday.
Attendees enjoyed a lunch that began at 11:45 am. After lunch, guest speaker Kirk Walden took the stage. Walden is a former professional golfer and college football broadcast team member with a passion for life and the pro-life cause.
“We thought this was a wonderful event,” said The Life Center Director Tracy Watson. “The speaker was funny and he related to people. His speech was very encouraging and reaffirming to what our mission is here in Big Spring, and that's to support life and parents. There were churches, community members, and businesses represented at our event. There were supporters that have already come alongside us with support and donated, but there were a lot of new faces who got to hear what we do, for the first time. We appreciate the city of Big Spring for supporting us for two years. We look forward to next year and hope we have a packed house.”
TLC is non-profit, faith-based, alternative-to-abortion organization. The organization supports mothers and fathers experiencing unexpected pregnancies and promotes sexual integrity in the community.
