Milton Mow, 73, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Chaplain Cherise Felty officiating.
Milton was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Coleman, Texas, and married Nell Benson Jan. 18, 1964, in Big Lake.
Milton graduated from Garden City High School and then attended Sul Ross University. He then joined the United States Army for a short tour of duty in Germany. Soon after, Milton started his career with Pioneer Energy, retiring in 1997 from Atmos Energy as a district superintendent. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent a lot of time at the VFW Hall in Midland. Most of his retirement days were spent in Terlinqua, Texas, where he loved cooking chili and riding ATVs. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Mow of Big Spring; one daughter, Heather Gutierrez and husband Junior Gutierrez of Big Spring; two granddaughters, Lani Mow and Lilly Jo Gutierrez, both of Big Spring; one great-grandson, Mason Franco and his dad, Chris Franco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Barbara (McCook) Mow.
