The Big Spring High School theater department will present “It's a Wonderful Life,” tonight at the high school auditorium.
“The students have done a great job and it's really a student-led production,” said Tabatha Wright, theater teacher. “I have a student sound designer who has taken care of all the sound, a student light designer who has come up with all the lighting and the students themselves are directing each other and supporting each other.”
The first performance will be held tonight at 7:30 and an encore will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The high school auditorium is located at 707 E. 11th Place. There is no admission charge to attend the play.
“Of the 38 cast members, 18 to 20 of the actors are performing for their first time,” Wright said. “They are doing well. Being in a production is sometimes the best way to get kids to truly understand theater. Ultimately, we are having a great time.”
