Jerry McCormick, 72, of Big Spring, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Big Spring to Jesse and Margery McCormick and married Carolyn Clary April 4, 1997, in Del Rio, Texas.
He was a trucker for Chevron/Texaco for several years. For a short time, he was employed at the Cornell Correction Facility.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue McCormick; three daughters, Meleney Lewis, Cindy Toten and husband, Jerry, and Dian Rowland and husband, Gary; one son, Jason McCormick; one sister, Wanda Hayes and husband, Jerry; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jesse McCormick.
The family suggest memorials be made to a children’s charity of choice.
