Big Spring boys
ANDREWS — The Big Spring boys defeated Midland Classical 69-32 to wrap up play at the Gym Bice Classic. Luke Adams was key once again with 24 point in a winning effort. The Steers will stay on the road for a matchup against Abilene Cooper Tuesday in Abilene.
Big Spring girls
ANDREWS — Amarillo Caprock was just a little bit too much for the Big Spring Lady Steers as they loss 50-40, finishing second at the Kristen Corbin Classic. Cerbi Ritchey continued her recent surge with a team-high 15 points. The loss is on the second of the season for Big Spring, putting the Lady Steers at 7-2. Pecos at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at home is on deck for Big Spring.
Coahoma boys/Stanton boys
COAHOMA — It was a chance for both Stanton and Coahoma to get a sneak peak at each other before district play and the Buffaloes came out as winners. Stanton beat Coahoma Saturday 58-43, giving the Bulldogs their first loss of the season. Stanton’s Tyler Fulton had a game-high 25-points. Coahoma’s Sheigh Cravens had a team-high 17 points and Tanner Ruiz was right behind him with 14.
Coahoma girls
CRANE — Coahoma girls’ basketball coach Mitzi Bell led her Bulldogettes past her alma mater Iraan 54-30 Saturday in the consolation final. Minnie Goodblanket had 14 points and Lynzi Ferrell had 13. District 3-2A play begins Tuesday for Coahoma with a trip to Denver City at 6 p.m.
Forsan boys/Grady boys
GARDEN CITY — Once again, Grady was too strong for the Forsan boys. After the Buffs grabbed their first pair of wins in the Garden City Booster Club Klassic, Grady beat Forsan 63-32 in the championship game Saturday. Grady beat Forsan earlier this season in Forsan. Elgin Suazo led with nine points and Kolten Self had eight. Shane Teague had a game-high 25 points.
Forsan girls/Sands girls
GARDEN CITY — Morgan Forshee had 11 points, but it wasn’t enough to trump Sands in the 37-28 loss for the Forsan Lady Buffs. They finished second in the Garden City Booster Club Klassic. Forsan head coach Robert Hillger said a much improved Lady Buffs squad is ready to start district play Tuesday night in Forsan against Lubbock Roosevelt.
