Ms. Amanda Fay Moreno and Mr. Christopher James Duforat were united in marriage July 14, 2012, in a 6 p.m. ceremony at Kokopellis in Big Spring. The ceremony was officiated by Justice of the Peace Kathryn Wiseman and Manny Negron.
The bride is the daughter of Hilaria C. Moreno, of Big Spring and the late David G. Moreno. She is the granddaughter of Magdeleno and Irene G. Moreno and Abel Sr. and Irma Cruz, all deceased. She was given in marriage by her brother, David M. Moreno of Big Spring.
The groom is the son of Jean-Michel Duforat and Vickie Duforat, both of Fort Stockton.
Cousin of the bride Valerie Levario of Amarillo, served as matron of honor and cousin of the bride Victoria Levario of Amarillo, served as bridesmaid. Aaliyah Caudill, cousin of the groom, served as the flower girl.
Best friend of the groom Daniel Harris of Fort Stockton served as best man and best friend of the groom Loy Culbertson, of Odessa, served as groomsman. Ring bearer was David Moreno Hoadley, son of the bride.
The bride wore an A-line one-of-a-kind ivory dress from David's Bridal. She carried a hot pink and black feathered bouquet adorned with pink jewels, created by Janice Boil, owner of Bee's Décor in Sweetwater.
A reception followed the ceremony at Kokopellis.
Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Forsan High School. She received her bachelor of arts degree in mass communications/print media from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. She is employed by the Big Spring Herald.
After a family vacation/honeymoon to San Antonio, the couple made their home in Big Spring.
