The Big Spring High School Art Club is offering a chance for kids in the area to learn some creative skills in an art camp they are hosting this summer.
This is the second time the Big Spring High School Art Club has put together a five day long workshop for children between six and eleven and Andrea Phinney, BSHS art teacher, said she is expecting this year to be even better.
“Some of the things we have planned, we’re going to try glass fusing, ceramics, watercolor, and acrylic,” said Phinney.
There are two sessions for the art camp one for kids ages nine to eleven which will take place from 9 a.m to 11 a.m that week. There will also be one for kids ages six to eight which take place from 12 p.m to 2 p.m following the first session. The workshop is set to take place on June 19 through the 23 in the Big Spring High School art room which is located in the vocational building. It will cost $100 for the camp which allows the kids to attend the whole five days.
If anyone has any questions regarding the art camp, or would like to sign up they can contact Andrea Phinney at
