This time the Forsan Buffloes handled their business.
Unlike last year when they faltered in the opening round of the state basketball playoffs against the Haskell Indians, the Buffs made amends with a resounding 53-36 win over Haskell in Class 2A bi-district play. It propels the Buffaloes into the area round against Anthony, a winner over Smyer. The time and date has yet to be set.
"It's a lot better,' said Forsan coach Cory Richardson. "After last year it was very, very important we come back and win this year."
It was all business for the Buffaloes this year after last year's upset loss to the fourth seeded Indians in the very same Colorado City gym. The Indians tried to keep the tempo at a relatively slow pace, and they did for a good part of the game, but when the Buffs turned up the pressure, Haskell began to wilt.
