Corrected voting totals still show incumbents winning

The Howard County Election’s office released corrected totals Monday of the results from Saturday’s Big Spring and Coahoma city council elections, but the outcome was still the same.
Election Administrator Jodi Duck said in-person early voting numbers were accidentally counted twice in the overall results released Saturday night. The new numbers didn’t change the outcome of the election with incumbents in both races still holding onto their seats.
In the Big Spring City Council District 1 race, Raul Marquez Marquez earned 60 votes total and Tracy Parker received 52 votes.
Corrected results from the Coahoma City Council race to fill two at-large positions are as follows: Brandy Manning brought in 48 votes; Jay Holt, 52; TJ Rueda, 11,; and John Mulkey, 4.
