Council approves lease subsidy

The city of Big Spring has bet big on rail service attracting businesses to McMahon-Wrinkle Airpark, and, with the facility's rail service provider struggling in the face of a weakening economy, the local city council has taken steps to protect that investment.

The council Tuesday approved an agreement between Big Spring Rail Systems, Inc. and the local Economic Development Corp. that will result in EDC reimbursing the rail company up to $4,000 a month for six months.
