A hard freeze is expected to makes its way to the Crossroads area by Sunday morning, according to a forecast by the National Weather Service.
“A strong cold front has arrived and will bring intense gap winds to Guadalupe pass through the afternoon today (Saturday). The same front is also bringing very windy conditions to most of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico this morning (Saturday),” according to the National Weather Service website. “Secure objects which may be blown around by the winds.
With temperatures expected to fall well bellow freezing Sunday morning most of and possibly the entire area, this will be the first hard and killing freeze of the season, the National Weather Service said. Precautions for should be taken.
