The Alon USA/ 7-Eleven Funtastic Fourth is just a few weeks away, and the county is gearing up for two days of live music and festivities.
This is the 15th annual event for the Big Spring Downtown Revitalization Association, and the Funtastic Fourth has become a tradition for many area residents to attend.
The event is “growing massively” according to Allan Johnson who has helped coordinate the whole thing since the event’s beginning.
“It has grown from a few thousand at the first event to between thirty and fifty thousand people,” said Johnson.
This year's lineup is looking to be even bigger than the last, with artists like Ronnie Milsap, Great White, Quiet Riot, and Mark McKinney already scheduled to headline the two-day event. Other bands that have been confirmed are Spur 327, Buzzkill, and State Limbo.
The event is free to the public thanks to the sponsors and volunteers who help put it together and is set to take place June 23 through June 24 in downtown Big Spring next to the courthouse.
