George Russell 'Rusty' Hayworth

George Russell “Rusty” Hayworth, age 51 of Coppell, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2014, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.Rusty was born on Dec. 12, 1962 in Big Spring, Texas. Rusty graduated from Big Spring High School in 1981, and Texas Tech University with a degree in finance in 1985. He married Kristy Scibek on March 6, 1999, and was a loving father to daughter Gracie Hayworth, and his two step-sons, Justin Tyler Walters and Harrsion Salter. He worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for more than 20, years where he had the love of many friends who supported him and gave him strength. He was also an active member of Valley Ranch Baptist Church.Rusty lived every day to the fullest and was passionate about all kinds of sports…especially baseball. He loved his Texas Tech Red Raiders and Houston Astros. His favorite activities included spending time with family and friends and working with his daughter on her softball skills. Rusty’s strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried him through his battle. Even throughout his own struggle, he kept his focus on how he could help and encourage others. Rusty is survived by his wife, Kristy, his children, Gracie Hayworth, Tyler and his wife, Sydney Walters, of Baton Rouge, La. and Harrison Salter and his fiancé, Sarah Kelly, of Addison, Texas; his parents, Jimmy and Harriet Hayworth of Big Spring, Texas; his grandmother, Edna Hayworth of Big Spring, Texas; his sister, Debra Davis and her husband, Leslie Davis, of Carrollton, Texas; his brother, Randy Hayworth and his wife, Jenifer, of Tulsa, Okla.; and his nieces and nephew, Kiersten, Madison, Regan and Tatum. He was also blessed with two grandchildren, Charlie Jo and Bruin.A private family graveside service is being held at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center in Coppell, Texas on Tuesday, April 8, at 10 a.m.A memorial selebration of Rusty’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Valley Ranch Baptist Church, 1501 E.
