Ashtyn Pearson, pitcher for the Forsan varsity softball team, put on a dominant performance on Friday as she didn’t allow a single run in their 9-0 shut out victory vs. the New Deal Lady Lions in game two of the regional quarterfinal playoff series.
“These past two days the girls have played some really great defense. Ashtyn has been fantastic on the mound, as she is really hitting her stride right now,” said head softball coach Shanna Taylor. “We are hitting the ball hard, which is good to see as we head into the next round of the playoffs.”
Up next, the Lady Buffs will make their way to Abeline Christian University take on the Lady Pirates of Petrolia, TX for a best-two-of-three playoff series. The first game will be held at 5:00 on Friday, with game two to follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. A third game will take place 30 minutes after game two if necessary.
