Lady Steer track state bound

The Big Spring Lady Steers varsity track team is now heading to state after competing in the UIL 4A regional track meet held at Lowery field in Lubbock last weekend, April 28-29. The top two finishers from each event are headed to Austin, Texas to compete at the state meet on Thursday – Saturday, May 11-13.
Women's state qualifiers from Big Spring High School are as follows:
Carlie Roberts (discus – first place with 127.3), Kailey Mathews (long jump – second place with 17'2), Kaitlyn Mathews (Triple Jump – first place with new school record of 39'2 ½, and 400m run – first place with 58.4)
