Here is what is happening this week.

• The Howard County Junior Livestock Show begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday at the Broughton Ag Complex on the Howard College campus, 1001 Birdwell Lane. A schedule of events are as follows:
• Wednesday, Jan. 13, 3 p.m. — Lamb and Goat Show.
• Thursday, Jan. 14, 6 p.m. — Rabbit Show.
• Friday, Jan. 15, 9 a.m. — Heifer & Steer Show.
1 p.m. — Barrow Show.
• Saturday, Jan. 16, 11 a.m. — Buyers/Ag Appreciation barbecue.
1 p.m. — Ap Appreciation & Junior Livestock Show Awards followed immediately after by the Junior Livestock sale.

• Don't forget the annual Big Spring Ag Appreciation Luncheon sponsored by the Big Spring Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon is combined with the Howard County Junior Livestock Show buyers barbecue and will be held at 11 a.m. at the Broughton Ag Complex. The luncheon is free to the community and is held to honor those in the agriculture field.

• Family Medical Center will be hosting a Meet and Greet at Hotel Settles for all eight primary care providers. The meet and greet will take place Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the ballroom.

•The Holy Trinity Youth group is hosting its 5th annual "Warming up our Community" service project this Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in at the church school hall at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1009 Hearn Street. Anyone in need can come and choose jackets and/or blankets that have been generously donated by our church community. This is free to the public.

• MLK Walk
A march to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan 18 on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. The march will commence at the corner of Gregg St. and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Youth organizations and other groups are welcome. Please bring your favorite lighting devices to light your path.
