Southern leg of reliever route nears completion

After three years of construction, the southern leg of the U.S. 87 reliever route is almost ready for motorists.

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the route — named the William B. Crooker Memorial Highway in honor of the long-time Howard County commissioner and Ports-to-Plains advocate — will be held Wednesday morning.
