Steer baseball season ends after 23-3 loss to Wylie

Staff Writer

The Big Spring varsity baseball team really needed to pull out a win in their game vs. Wylie on Tuesday in hopes of making a playoff appearance, but that wasn’t the case as they fell to the Bulldogs in a one-sided 23-3 defeat.
“Its always tough to see the season end, especially in April rather than May. I can still proudly say that we battled hard through it all, we just have to continue to grow and better ourselves,” said head baseball coach Daniel Carrillo. “My hat goes off to the four seniors for being true trail blazers and setting the foundation of this program. Now we all have to take a look in the mirror and ask ourselves what we can do and what we are willing to sacrifice to get better.”
The Steers finished with a 13-15-1 record for the season, with a district record of 1-6.
