Telling tales from the Orphan Train

For more than 75 years, orphans and unwanted children from the northeast U.S. were shipped west in an attempt to find them new homes.

This program, which produced some happy endings but more than a few sad ones, was the subject of "Riders of the Orphan Train," a presentation staged Saturday at Heritage Museum.
