United Way series: Red Cross

Staff Writer

Three hundred and sixty-five days a year, the American Red Cross is there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Now, area residents get to return the favor.
The Permian Basin Chapter of the American Red Cross is one of the agencies which annually receive assistance from the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County, and that money cuts a large swath across West Texas.
The West Texas chapter serves almost 500,000 people in 20 counties.
