DAV recognizes local businesses

"We have tremendous support from the community, and we appreciate it," Ed Meiser, D.A.V. Commander of Chapter 47 Big Spring, said.

Higginbotham and Big Spring Outdoor representatives were on hand to receive their signs, which were presented by Sr. Vice Commander Mike Tarpley.

"These signs are our way of showing our appreciation for those businesses in the community who have stepped up and offered their continuous support for local veterans throughout the year," Tarpley said. "With these signs, the community is able to see who has supported us and while they are supporting that business they can also extend their gratitude for their support."
