Big Spring's O'Neal-Kunkle chapter of Disabled American Veterans honored 13 local businesses at their monthly meeting Monday evening for providing donations and services to assist the chapter's support of veterans.
"We have businesses in the area as well as individuals who make contributions to the DAV in the form of monetary donations as well as services," said Chapter Commander Ed Meiser. "Tonight, we'll honor those businesses who are able to be here with a certificate of recognition, recognizing and thanking them for helping our local chapter of the DAV with their donations. It goes to help the local veterans here in the area."
