“Everybody loves kung-fu fighting, those kicks were fast as lightning.”
Ok, not everybody loves kung-fu, and surely there are those who would agree that they are slightly slower than lighting.
Although, here in Big Spring there is a place that does happen to love mixed martial arts, jiu jitsu and other fighting styles just as much, if not more than Carl Douglas loved singing “Kung Fu Fighting.”
Warlord MMA Martial Arts Academy & Fitness Facility, located here in town, is a place that offers strength and conditioning classes or bootcamp, kids MMA (5 and up), boxing, Muay Thai judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and personal training from fitness to self defense.
"Warlord MMA will be open six years on the 15th of June," said Nathan Torres, the teacher and General Manager of Warlord MMA. "We just recently bought a new facility located here at 602 S. Main St. I'm pretty happy about it.”
Warlord MMA will have a grand opening to showcase their new location this Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
