COLORADO CITY – With the District 4-2A title on the line, Forsan and Colorado City played a close game for the first two and a half innings before the Lady Wolves slowly started to pull away.
Colorado City led 1-0 heading into the bottom of the third before putting up three more runs to take a 4-0 lead. A triple by Colorado City's Kaci Rivera led the charge bringing in two runs in the frame. A single by Lyla Ramon brought in another Lady Wolves runs to increase their lead.
The Lady Wolves continued to build its lead adding two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and an additional run in the bottom sixth to walk away with a 7-4 win over the Lady Buffaloes.
Forsan would cut the lead by three in the top of the sixth as the the Lady Buffaloes put up three runs in the frame. Forsan catcher Emma Buske led the offensive charge hitting a double fly ball to centerfield to bring in Forsan's first two runs of the game. Forsan's Lybertee Rodriquez would bring in Buske on the next at, bat hitting a hard ground ball single to slowly chip away at Colorado City's lead.
